eggs you you make them the same way as when you were stove cooking but microwave them instead i think its like 5 minuets for two eggs and you have to stir them afterwords and microwave again for 3 minuets.
Ah the Mircofridge!! Well let’s see, what i live off of when i don’t want to eat at the Cafeteria. Here’s what i normal buy!
bread, peanut butter, jelly, butter, cold cuts, milk, cereal, frozen dinners, EZ Mac, Ramon noodles, crackers, oreos, breakfast bars, the breakfast drink mixes with all the vitamin and stuff, it comes in like chocolate and strawberry, little debbie snack cakes & honey buns, um and anything that doesn’t need to be cooked or can just be eaten cold. I’d go around the store and look at things that can be cooked in the Microwave. Make a list of what you think will taste good and try some.
Remember if you going to be eating a lot of food that can be cooked in the microwave, drink lots of water, and exercise. That food will make you gain weight like crazy!! P.S. You can fit a lot of food in those mircofirdges. If you take the bottom shelve out and just leave the top, you can fit at least 2 gallons of milk in the bottom. Oh and remember turn your fridge down when you have milk in there!! A couple of weeks ago i had a half gallon of milk and i didn’t realize that our fridge was turned up, and the milk spoiled fast.
1 extra-large egg or
2 small eggs
2 tsp. milk
pinch of salt
pinch of black pepper
½ tsp. butter (optional)
1-Quart Measure
Break egg into 1-quart mixing bowl. Add milk, salt, and pepper. Beat well with wire whisk. Add butter to mixture. Cook 1 minute (_____) at 100% power until about 1 tbsp. Of egg remains uncooked. Mix egg well with rubber spatula and serve. Egg will be moist. If dry eggs are preferred, cook 5 seconds (_____) more at 100% power. Mix with rubber spatula and serve.
Carrot Soup
½ tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. chopped fresh or
frozen onion
1 cup chicken stock (see recipe)
or 1 cup water with 1 chicken
bouillon cube
½ tsp. sugar
4 oz. sliced fresh or frozen carrots
Put butter and onion into Gravy Maker Pot*. Cook 1 minute (_____) at 100% power. Add stock, sugar, and carrots. Cover pot with lid. Cook 2 minutes (_____) at 100% power. Stir. Cook 8 minutes (_____) at 100% power.
1/16 tsp. of salt
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
Pour the contents of pot into blender. Add salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg to blender and liquify. Pour into soup bowl and serve
Chicken Parmesan
8 oz. chicken with skin and bones
1 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp. Italian bread crumbs
Wash chicken and drain on paper towel. Put cheese and bread crumbs on a 12-inch piece of waxed paper. Roll chicken in mixture until coated. Place chicken skin side down in Menu-ette Skillet. Cover skillet with paper towel. Cook 2:00 minutes (_____) at 100% power. Turn chicken over and sprinkle any remaining crumb mixture over chicken. Cover skillet with paper towel. Cook 2:20 minutes (_____) at 100% power. Let stand 2 minutes. Serve in skillet
Leftover Meat Stew
2 oz. carrots, cut into ¼-inch slices
¼ cup water
2-oz. baking potato, cut into
½-inch cubes
Put carrots and water into Cook ‘N’ Pour Pan. Cover with lid. Cook 2:00 minutes (_____) at 100% power. Add potato and replace lid. Cook 3:00 minutes (_____) at 100% power.
2 oz. cooked meat (steak left
over from a restaurant meal
will do)
1/3 cup water or leftover gravy
½ beef bouillon cube
1/16 tsp. salt
1 tsp. all-purpose flour
Cut meat into ½-inch cubes and add to pan. Add water, bouillon, salt and flour to pan and mix well. Replace lid. Cook 1:00 minute (_____) at 100% power.
1 oz. (¼ cup) fresh or frozen peas
Stir in peas and replace lid. Cook 1:00 minute (_____) at 100% power. Let stand 2 minutes. Pour into soup bowl and stir.
Peanut Brittle
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
¼ cup sugar
2 pinches salt
1/3 cup (2 oz.) salted or
unsalted peanuts
Place corn syrup in 2-cup liquid measure, scarping measuring spoon clean each time. Add sugar and salt. Mix well. Cook 1:15 minutes (_____) at 100% power. Add peanuts and mix thoroughly. Cook 1:15 minutes (_____) at 100% power.
2-Cup Liquid Measure
1 tsp. butter
¼ tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. baking soda
Add remaining ingredients. Stir quickly and thoroughly. Before brittle hardens, spread on buttered metal cookie sheet.* Let stand 5 minutes. Break into pieces and store in airtight jar.

Have you thought of getting a cheap blender? You can make smoothies pretty nutritious…pretty cheap…and pretty simple, all at the same time!
When I was in college, the meal plan was included…but we still thought of creative ways to eat in the dorm. You can do it if you try! Good luck!
If they’ll let you have a George Foreman grill you can also have some fun with that… I remember the microfridge!!
THIS IS ONE RECIPE WHAT I TRY AND IT COMEOUT GOOD TRY IT
20 MINUTE MICROWAVE MEAT LOAF
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
2 c. bread or cracker crumbs
3/4 c. onions
1/4 c. bell pepper
2 eggs
3/4 c. ketchup
5 tsp. salt
5 slices American cheese
Slightly beat eggs with fork. Add all other ingredients. Microwave in ring mold. Microwave on high for 15 minutes. Add cheese slices on top. Microwave 5 minutes longer. Let stand 5 minutes.

I think I would see if they would let me have a slow cooker in my room or a george foreman. If not, they don’t take up much space and you could sneak them in. That’s what the other college students are doing.
